Have you heard of the acronym, STEM? It stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math—four areas in which women still struggle to gain equal footing in the workplace. Programs are sprouting up all around the country to provide education and familiarity with these subject, and encourage girls and young women to get more involved.

In Palo Alto, California, Ford is partnering with a program called, “Girls Who Code,” to do just that. Ford employees work with girls and young women who then gain instruction and mentorship from the team members.

When it comes down to it, we have a hard time not loving the Ford Escape--and not just because it's the most popular American-made small crossover.
